I’m happy to work for Diocesan Caritas! I like the atmosphere at work, colleagues are friendly and welcoming!
The children are touching and it’s really nice to work for and with them.  For the moment it’s a little frustrating sometimes because of the language. I would love to speak and to do more for children, and to exchange more with my colleagues. But in time, my Czech will improve (I hope!).
I think it’s really important for children to have a place like this where they can come, play, discuss, to change their mind… and Vesnicka and Horizont are perfect and really well-equipped.
I really enjoy my time here, and I’m really happy with what I’m doing!

I'm Pia, 18 years old, and I work in the two Klubs of Charity. I'm really glad to work there, because I like working with the children. They are very sweet and sometimes they just come and hug me, when they see I'm there. Also it's a good working atmosphere in both Klubs and this makes you feeling good when you go to work. I'm glad I speak at least a little Czech so I can say something to the clients and I notice (sometimes) when they do or say something bad, so I can stop them. It's good to have a lot of possibilities of doing something with them in both Klubs like playing soccer, table tennis, playing other games or doing activities. With the older clients there is not always something to do, because they play alone or prefer staying in front of the computer. But if there is a time where is nothing to do, I can use the time to learn a bit Czech or speak to my nice collegues. It's good to be with them in Klub, because they know what to do if there is a difficult situation and I'm very glad, we understand each other well. I'm looking forward to my next months here, but just hope to learn more Czech and maybe do a little more activities myself.

Z dobrovolnic se nám stali andělé :)
