Cooking in Coexistence Village!
On Wednesday 13th of April we organised big culinary event under the leadership of our volunteer Elvi- preparation of pastry and frying of pancakes. Almost all children, who were really good at preparation of pancakes (from preparation of pastry to spreading and rolling of pancakes), were involved in activity. And of course, in eating!
We enjoyed the pancakes together in club where we learnt through Elvi´s presentation when and to which occasion Russian people eat pancakes.
For example, did you know that in Russian language the pancakes are called blina? And that in Russia they traditionally spread only butter on it? We had the possibility to hear all of this interesting information. The children learnt again something new; they gained not only theoretical knowledge but mainly practical ones, which they will definitely use in their future lives. And of course, they savoured great home- made pancakes. We would like to thank to our volunteer Elvi and of course, all of participants who participated in cooking!
