Trip to Ostrava ZOO
On Friday 15th of April it was a nice day for us! We visited with children ZOO in Ostrava, which can offer a lot for people at all ages.
Children had the possibility to get to know that mainly mothers take care of baby animals and what this kind of care involves.
„ From nature not only to plate or who live in a farm“- in this part children got to know domestic animals and their ancestors, products and utility. We also met African animals and learnt a lot of interesting information.
The nice experience was also to experience the forest through various senses, we also saw animals living in the forest, and we familiarized with danger of forests and their protection. On „ Water Way“ we learnt how far the water has to „ travel “ to get to our tap and what happen with it after leaving our house.
At pavilion of monkeys we had the possibility to recognize fundamental differences of primates and other animals. We also learnt some knowledge about elephants, strangeness’s of their body and interesting things from their lives.
We also learnt new information about the meaning of ZOO´s and breeding of animals. The children gained extensive knowledge about animals and their natural environment and therefore they also practised geographical knowledge. To see all of this interesting stuff also volunteer Anastasia came with us. We read everything carefully and children could even touch some animals which was really big experience for them.
